Looking for a new webmaster can be a tough adventure. Who do you go with, do you use a template, do you need to be able to update your information yourself and finally will you need a blog?  I hope to answer these questions in this article.

Ok, so let’s say you have a shoes store in Valencia, CA and you are trying to reach out to the internet users and let them know who you are.  First things first, you will need a website, how to get one you ask…

1.) If you type “web designers in Valencia, Ca” you are going to be bombarded with multiple companies offering a lot of the same product in numerous different price ranges. My suggestion on the price issue is DO NOT SHOP BY PRICE, you need to find someone who can look at your company and design something to fit who you are and what you sell. Remember when someone discounts there own product the are probably taking some element out of it, and when it comes to web design… It is usually creativity

2.) This brings me to my second point; unless you are using a content management system I would stay away from do-it yourself websites that allow you to build a website from a template.  STAY AWAY FROM TEMPLATES, you need to create your own identity, you don’t want to look like every other website out there.

3.) YES!!!!! You need a blog; blogging is the best way to drive people to your website.  This is the most important tool to market your website to Search Engines, content is key and this is the content key.
